Digital Signature Feature for PDF Certificates

[PBI 394007]

A new feature to include a custom Digital Signature for PDF Certificate documents has been introduced in the Oceanwide Marine Suite. A digital signature is an added security feature that certifies and digitally signs system-generated PDF documents.

This feature allows companies to apply a digital signature to all certificate templates they own within the system's organizational hierarchy, including any subsidiaries.

The digital signature is visible in the Signature Panel of the Adobe PDF Reader and not directly within the document, unless the setting to display a visible signature is set to True. Users can preview the signature in Adobe, however, the signature does not appear when previewing the document in a browser.

New Data Importer Feature

[Feature 316956]

A new feature called Data Importer has been introduced to the Oceanwide Marine Suite. This feature is available both for the Extranet and Clientside users.

The base functionality is designed to facilitate the management of large amounts of data at once, within the Oceanwide Marine Suite. At this time, importing and booking shipments are the only transactions supported.

A new menu item to access the Data Importer feature has been added to the Extranet and Clientside. For Extranet, the Data Importer is accessible through the Administration menu, under Tools, and for Clientside, users can access it by hovering over the Shipment menu and selecting Data Importer.

Upon clicking on Data Importer from the menus, users are navigated to the Template List page of the Data Importer.

  • For details on the Data Importer, see the Data Importer section.

Special Rate Carryover for Active Named Assureds only on Endorse/Renew

[PBI 298423]

A new licensee configuration has been introduced to the Oceanwide Marine Suite to indicate when special rates should be dropped from the special rate carryover process when renewing or endorsing a policy. When a Named Assured becomes inactive and the licensee configuration setting is set to True, the system retrieves the Named Assureds with Special Rates for those policies, and will remove them from the Special Rates list in the new transaction.

An Audit Trail entry will display whether the Special Rates have been dropped on the Renewal or Endorsement, however, it will not specify which rates.

Note that if the parent Primary Assured of a Named Assured becomes inactive, and the active Named Assured has Special Rates assigned, these special rates are carried over into the Renewal or Endorsement transaction.
